Altered future with the Community
From the very first days of Altered, the community has supported the game’s growth. As we move into the game’s legacy, the community is once again coming together to preserve the gameplay while making it accessible and open to as many players as possible.
We’re (Equinox) officially connecting with the Altered Re:Union, a volunteer-staffed, incorporated nonprofit group made up of fans, to maintain projects such as ongoing Board Game Arena matches with custom decks, organized play and competitive seasons and develop new worlds for the Expeditionary Corps to explore. We encourage you to join them not just to volunteer your efforts, but to continue playing the game we’ve built. Find them at altered.re or join their Discord server.
We want to recognize everyone’s efforts in taking Altered forward, whether they’re a part of Re:Union or not. Whether you’re developing a community deckbuilding platform, organizing ongoing play or creating and sharing media, you’re an integral part in continuing this adventure. It’s our hope that the community supports each other to keep Altered alive long past its official closing.
To help you transition as smoothly as possible, we made available in your profile page a process to export your digital collections and decks : https://www.altered.gg/en-us/
This process will create two versions of your collection and decks, one in open format and one in an encrypted certified format. This encrypted version will be uploadable in the community solution so you can keep your collection alive.
To allow you to retrieve these data and still access your pending POD orders, we are postponing the shutdown of the digital services to June 15th. Until then your profile will still be accessible as usual. Please note that already closed digital services such as marketplace and scanning will remain disabled. After the shutdown of the digital services, requesting this export will only be possible by request at support@altered.gg
